Membership Benefits

Your $25.00 Civic Association membership fee goes a long way in keeping our neighborhood a fun, safe, friendly and beautiful place to live. That works out to about $2 per month – the daily cost of  a cup of coffee!

Your membership has many direct and indirect benefits and supports our ALL-VOLUNTEER work-force which enhances our community, including:

  • The Herald newsletter is published by a team of two people, seven times each year. Three of the seven are delivered by various community groups to everyone in Kings Park West.  All seven will be posted here, on the website. The newsletter is filled with helpful information about the community and includes a community bulletin board, of sorts, with offers of services and sales. Herald Archives
  • The KPWCA website provides helpful information like the community calendar, archive of the Herald newsletters and much much more.
  • The KPWCA Membership Directory helps you locate friends and neighbors, and find merchant and vendor information. It includes a helpful map of the KPW community with a Block-by-Block breakdown. The directory is a members-only benefit.
  • College Scholarships are awarded each year to the children of KPWCA members
  • The annual Halloween Parade/Fall Festival is held yearly leading up to Halloween at Lakeside Park, with food, music, games, bouncy houses and so much more.
  • Twice a year – in the spring and fall – the Parks and Lakes Committee organizes a clean-up of Royal Lake and the surrounding parkland. Without this community effort, many of the paths we all walk would become impassable, the trash would accumulate and the plants and bushes would become overgrown.
  • The Civic Association also supports activities such as common area maintenance that landscapes and maintains the entrances to Kings Park West, bringing beauty and enhancing property value of our community; the three KPWCA signboards provide updates to keep us all informed of community happenings; and the Road Raiders that do targeted road/sidewalk cleanups on Saturday mornings several times a year
  • The Welcoming Coordinator prepares packets of information for neighbors/families new to KPW to welcome them, introduce them to our community and to provide helpful information.
  • The Spring Egg Hunt is a well-loved tradition, and fun for the whole family. It takes place the Sunday before Easter.
  • And finally, Dumpster Days, conveniently held in KPW in the spring and fall, provide opportunities to discard unusable items that have accumulated over time. Access is available only to paid KPWCA members.

membership form and pay dues.

As you can see, Membership really does have its privileges! Even if you don’t have kids who might enjoy the festivals or benefit from the scholarships, your contribution, combined with the activities of our volunteers, make KPW a vibrant, desirable neighborhood benefiting everyone and improving all of our homes’ property values.

So, rather than sitting back enjoying the Community while letting others volunteer their time, efforts, and financial support, please consider doing your share by volunteering and sending in your dues today!

If you have questions, or wish to volunteer as a Block Captain, please email: membership@kpwca.org
